Limiting the Frame is a sound project about film - and in particular about analog film. The two artists have an interest in all aspects of film making from the past and this collection of tracks are interpretations and reimaginations based on this joint interest.

It is also a project about nostalgia and memory - relating to both lost and found sound and visuals. A longing for past times and places via obsolete process and equipment.

Both artists worked with 8mm film in the 1970s/80s and 90s and have a continued interest to this day. With this in mind all album tracks have a filmic version available on YouTube. (see track description for film link)

Jimmy Peggie is a sound artist based in Phoenix, AZ who uses sound and moving image in his creative practice. His artistic work is focused on atmospheres, transmissions, fragments, particles and decay. An appreciation that all things are impermanent, imperfect and incomplete.

British Sports Car
Fusing contemporary and arthouse film with music. British Sports Car is a Colchester, UK based solo artist who creates an array of complex and disturbing soundscapes, music and textures. Inspired by minimalist composition and independent arthouse cinema, BSC combines the 2 mediums of music and film to encourage thought and discussion amongst the audience.
